I was on my way to a newborn session yesterday afternoon when I stopped at The Little Bread Company for lunch. I never ever leave my gear in my car so while I was enjoying a peaceful lunch by myself, this little guy flew over to the table. I had a realization that I have an amazing camera and I NEVER (okay, maybe twice since upgrading) have used outside of clients. Usually I find it exhausting and “work” to take my camera with me. But I have decided that I need to start doing it more. Photography is something I fell in love with long before clients and I rarely ever do it for anyone but clients anymore. I am sure there is a lot technically wrong with this image, but sometimes it’s nice to enjoy your craft without always reaching for perfection and looking for flaws. Sometimes it’s nice to just enjoy the little things like having this image to put me back in the moment of this beautiful, quiet, windy and peaceful 30 minutes I had to myself in this little wonderland tucked away on Block street. It was bliss.
